He was a retired carpenter, and native of Kisatchie. Survivors include six sons, L. B. Springer of Natchitoches, Dennie Springer, Bennie Springer, both of Vivian, Kermit Springer of DeRider, C. ? Springer of Beeville, Tex., and V. W. Springer of Shreveport; three daughtrers, Mrs. Faye Floyd of Robeline, Miss Wanda Springer of Natchitoches, and Mrs. Wh?le Dean Barnhill of Baytown, Tex.; one brother, Dewey Springer of Alexandria, 21 grandchildren, and 44 great grandchildren. Services were held at 11 a.m., Friday, in the chapel of Blanchard-St. Denis, with Revs. J. J. Marbut, and Mike Marbut officiating. Burial was in the Kisatchie Cemetery.
