Sebren 13 Jun 1952 - Funeral rites for Hardie S. Sebren, 59, who passed away at Pleasant Hill, Wednesday of last week, were conducted at Mt. Zion Baptist church 2:30 p.m. Thursday by Rev. C. C. Pierce and Rev. O. S. Roberts. Interment followed in Belmont cemetery under direction warren funeral home.. Pallbearers were Hugh Neal, W. B. Brumley, Rufus Savell, James Lites, Willie Brumley and Ray Lites. Surviving relatives include: the widow, Mrs. Lula Sebren, Many; son, Gerald Sebren, Many; brothers Tim Lindsey, Pollock, L. G. Sebren, Belmont, M. D. Sebren, Zwolle; sisters, Mrs. E. N. Bullard, Many, Mrs. Vera Webb, Belmont. Mr. Sebren was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. G. G. Sebren of Belmont. He united with Union Baptist church, Belmont, when a young boy, and lived a clean concentrated Christian life. He moved to Mt. Zion about 26 years ago and was a faithful worker in the church and community there. He was loved and respected for his high standard of Christian living. His going away has grieved our hearts so much but we know he was ready and willing to go and we do know "God doeth all things well". The large crowd of friends and relatives attending the funeral and the beautiful floral offerings was a symbol of the place he held in the lives of relatives and friends.
