Rufus H. Springer

  Services for Rufus H. Springer, 52, of Bossier City, were held
at 4 p.m., Saturday, April 1, in Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Bossier
City Chapel. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery.

  Mr. Springer died at noon Thursday, March 30, in Schumpert
Medical Center.

  Born in Converse, he had lived in Bossier City for 10 years, and
was a mechanic for Sears.

  Survivors include his widow, Willna Springer of Bossier City; a
son, Rufus H. Springer Jr. of Evergreen; two daughters, Barbara
Gray of Alvin, Texas, and Rosemary Garrett of Shreveport; two
sisters, Ann Ellzey of Many, and Margaret Louis of Smackover,
Ark.; two brothers, Starlan Springer of Logansport, and G. C.
Springer of Houston, Texas; and five grandchildren.
