The Sabine Index - Mrs. G. R. Sebren, Sr.

  14 Sep 1956 - Last rites for Mrs. G. R. Sebren, Sr., 76, who
passed away Sept. 1 in Allen Sanitarium after a long illness were
held Sept. 2 at 3 p.m. in First Baptist church, Converse. Burial
followed in Converse cemetery.

  Conducting the services were Rev. Jerry Schmucker, Shreveport
and Rev. Ben F. Worley, pastor of Converse Baptist church.
Survivors include three sons and four daughters.

  Mrs. Thelma Manns, Winnfield; Mrs. Myrtis Egdcar, New
Orleans, Mrs. Katie Latham, Andrews, Texas; Mrs. Jewel
Hickenbotham, Baton Rouge; John, Jim and G. R. Sebren, Jr., all
of Converse; 16 grandchildren, one step-grandchild and one
great-great grandchild.

  Mrs. Sebren was a member of Converse Baptist church and
attended faithfully as long as her health would permit. In all of
her suffering she was very patient and never complained.
