Springer of Pollock, La., were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 21, at Saint Edwards Catholic Church, with the Reverend Father Wilbur Cloutier officiating. Burial was in the Pollock Cemetery, under the direction of Hixon Bros. Funeral Home of Pineville. Mr. Springer, 82, of Pollock, died Sunday, in his home, after a sudden illness. He was a retired barber, a member of Saint Edwards Catholic Church, and a native of Kisatchie. Survivors include four sons, Edward Springer of Pineville, Waymon Springer of Crowley, James Springer of Pollock, and Albert Springer of Huntsville, Tex.; one daughter, Geneva Mayeux of Fort Worth, Tex.; one brother, Leo Springer of Many; 10 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren; and also a host of nieces and nephews.
