Officiating the services was the Rev. Msgr. Norman Buvens. Interment followed in St. Johns Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Rosary services were held on Monday, February 27, at 7 p.m., in the Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Springer passed away on Sunday, February 26, 1995, at Schumpert Medical Center, following an extended illness. She was a lifelong resident of Many, La. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Joseph Leo Springer; her mother, Mrs. Mary Michael; three sons, Michael and wife Shamarie, Ronald and wife Merle, Kelly and wife Tanya; two daughters, Betty Craig and husband Jerry, all of Many, Karen Womack and husband Henry of Converse, La. She is also survived by two sisters, Alice Michael, Lillian Vines and husband Ivy Lee, also of Many; 9 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were family and friends, George Koss, Greg Vines, Johnny Mowad, Terry Delatin, Van Barnhill, Ed Lites, Sonny Ferrar, and Hoy Leach. Honorary pallbearers were members of Chapter 1647, NARFE (National Association of Retired Federal Employees).
