He passed away suddenly at his home in Chauvan, where he was employed. Funeral services were held May 27, at 10 o'clock, in Converse Baptist Church, with Rev. J. C. McLendon, pastor of Converse First Baptist Church, and Rev. Millaman of Chauvan, officiating. Burial was in Converse Cemetery, under the direction of Drewett Funeral Home of Mansfield. Pallbearers were Charles Johnson, Dannell Hitch, Gerald Jordan, Dannie Sebren, Jimmie Sebren, and James Robert Higginbotham. He is survived by his wife and two daughters, Betty and Patricia Sebren; and one son, Robert Sebren, all of Converse; two brothers, John W. Sebren of Chauvan, and George R. Sebren of Mansfield; and four sisters, Mrs. Thelma Mann, Winnfield, Mrs. Myrtis Edgar, New Orleans, Mrs. Katie Mae Latham, Andrews, Tex., and Mrs. Jewel Higginbotham of Port Allen. Besides a large number of other relatives and friends. Jim was really a good Christian man, also, so considerate of his family and friends, and always faithful to his Lord. The inspiration of his life shall linger on in the hearts of those who knew him.
