The Sabine Index - Thomas Madison Sistrunk

  30 Aug 1957 - Funeral rites for Thomas Madison Sistrunk, age
74, of Mitchell was held last Wednesday evening at 3 o'clock at
the Mitchell Methodist Church. Rev. Bobby Lawton officiated.
Burial was in the Mitchell cemetery under the direction of
Drewitt Funeral home of Mansfield.

  Mr. Sistrunk was a lifelong resident of Mitchell and a
successful farmer. he was a member of the Methodist church and
the Woodmen of the World.

  Survivors include four sons, Guy Sistrunk of Leesville, Monroe
Sistrunk of Mansfield, Morris Sistrunk of Beaumont, Texas and
Marion Sistrunk of Pleasant Hill; three daughters, Mrs. L. G.
Meyers of Zwolle, Mrs. J. B. McComic of New Orleans and Miss
Aleece Sistrunk of Mitchell, and two brothers, Dan Sistrunk of
Converse and Dollie Sistrunk of Mitchell.
