Services were held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 27, in the Marshall Street Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home, with the Rev. J. C. Clement, pastor of the Lakeshore Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Forest Park. Mr. Sistrunk, a native of Pleasant Hill, had lived in Shreveport since 1943. He was employed in the accounting department of Arkla Gas Co., and was a member of the Lakeshore Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow, Delia Sistrunk of Shreveport; his mother, Onie Irene Sistrunk of Pleasant Hill; a daughter, Lila J. Sistrunk of Boise, Idaho; four sisters, Vera Robinson of Calusa, Calif., Sarah Callens of Kilgore, Texas, Joyce Cox of Minden, and Shirley Flowers of Delhi, Calif.; and three brothers, Tony Sistrunk of Minden, James Sistrunk of Pleasant Hill, and Billy Sistrunk of Kilgore. Pallbearers were Bill Herrin, Charles Bradley, Andrew Miciotto, David Williams, J. T. Royal, Ray Hollifield, Doyle Stephens, and W. W. James.
