  G. W. Sistrunk Sr. - October 4, 1973


  George Wiley Sistrunk sr., 77, of Mitchell died Thursday, Sept.
27, following a brief illness.

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept.29, in the
Drewett Memorial Chapel. Burial was in the Mitchell Cemetery.

  Survivors include his widow; seven sons, George W. Sistrunk Jr.,
Wilmer Sistrunk, A. D. Sistrunk and H. C. Sistrunk all of
Shreveport. Earnest Sistrunk of Bossier city, Alton Wayne
Sistrunk of Howard City, Mich., and LeRoy Dale Sistrunk of
Mitchell; six daughters, Mrs. Mrs. Nora Clark of Lake Odessa,
Mich., Mrs. Gladys Bayer of Ranch Cordova, Calif., Mrs. Jean Shaw
of British, Columbia, Mrs. Mary Ann Farrar of Shreveport, Mrs.
Bobby Lyn Sharmira of New Iberia and Mrs. Rita Allen of McComb,
Miss.; 17 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
