Officiating was the Rev. Robert Wallace, assisted by the Rev. Roy Mouser. Burial was at the Mitchell Cemetery, under the direction of Rose-Neath's Mansfield Chapel. Mrs. Sistrunk died Tuesday, April 25, 1989, at the DeSoto General Hospital in Mansfield, after a short illness. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Mitchell United Methodist church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew J. Sistrunk; and one son, Harold Sistrunk. She is survived by one son, Jewel W. Sistrunk of Lake Charles; six daughters, Sybil Emmons of Converse, Mildred Scimemi of Lake Charles, Dollie Green of Converse, Jo Ann Saylor of Dallas, Tex., Dorothy Fain of Shreveport, and Celeste Taylor of Minden; 18 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Grandsons were pallbearers.
