Dan Richard Sistrunk

  A memorial service was held Friday, March 4, 1994, at 2 p.m., in
the First Baptist Church in Converse, for Mr. Dan Richard
Sistrunk, 54, of Nanticoke, Md. Rev. Bob Phillips officiated. A
private family interment was held in Mitchell Cemetery.

  Mr. Sistrunk died Sunday, Feb. 27, in Nanticoke, Md. He was born
in Converse. Mr. Sistrunk was a resident of the Nanticoke area
for over 20 years. He was Professor of Botany at Salisbury State
University in Salisbury, Md.

  Mr. Sistrunk was preceded in death by his father, Floyd N.
Sistrunk.

  He is survived by his mother, Buna Barnhill Sistrunk of
Converse, La.; one son, William Nathan "Nat" Sistrunk of
Nanticoke, Md.; one daughter, Jennifer Lynn Sistrunk of
Salisbury, Md.; and one brother, Donnie F. Sistrunk of Converse,
La.

  The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made
to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association,
or the First Baptist Church in Converse.
