"Jim" Schleuter, 60, of Leesville, were held at the Beauregard Funeral Home Chapel, at 2 p.m., on Sunday, Jan. 3. The Rev. George Werner officiated. Burial was in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Leesville. Mr. Schleuter died at his residence at 3 a.m., on Friday, Jan. 1. A retired Civil Service employee of the Corps of Engineers, he was a native of Shattuc, Illinois. He served in the United States Army for ten years. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Evelyn Gandy Schleuter of Leesville, a native of Sabine Parish; one daughter, Mrs. Sheila Voiles of Leesville; two sons, Ronald Schleuter of Monroe, and Rickey Schleuter of Ball; two sisters, Mrs. Mable Adams of Fairfield, Calif., and Mrs. Rose Branch of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two brothers, Van Schleuter of Sandoval, Illinois, and Kenneth Schleuter of St. Louis, Mo.; and two grandchildren, Amanda Ratzlaff, and Chad Schleuter.
