Mary Jane Schuler

  Services for Mary Jane Schuler, 56, of Mooringsport, were held
at 1 p.m., Thursday, April 12, in Rose-Neath Funeral Home's
Marshall Street Chapel, with the Rev. Harold McClendon, pastor of
Mooringsport Baptist Church, officiating. Burial followed in
Plain Dealing Cemetery.

  Mrs. Schuler died Sunday, April 8, at her residence, following a
long illness.

  A native of Plain Dealing, Mrs. Schuler had lived in
Mooringsport for three years. She was a former resident of
Shreveport and Bossier City, a beautician, and a member of
Lakeshore Baptist Church.

  Survivors include her husband, M. H. "Chub" Schuler; daughters,
Martha Davis of Japan, and Sharon Law of Phillipsburg, Kan.;
sister, Clara Rich of Baton Rouge; brothers, Foster Ward of Plain
Dealing, and James H. Ward of Zwolle; and four grandchildren.
