Reverend Jerry Schmucker

  The Rev. Jerry Schmucker died Saturday, Feb. 5, 1994, in
Shreveport. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Feb.
8, at Brookwood Baptist Church. Officiating was Rev. Mark Sutton,
pastor of Brookwood Baptist Church, assisted by Rev. James Smith,
associate pastor of Brookwood Baptist Church. Interment followed
in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Stanley, with graveside services at 2
p.m.

  Rev. Schmucker began preaching on May 12, 1935, and he served
churches in Simpson, and Converse, Mr. Olivet, Stanley, and
Pinecroft Baptist Church in Shreveport.

  He was Camp Manager of Clara Springs, and Slogo Church Camps for
twenty years. After retiring, he served the churches at Noble and
Zimmerman.
