Jennie Byrd Schmitz

  Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie Byrd Schmitz of Hornbeck, were
held Saturday, July 23, 1983, at 1 p.m., at Warren Meadows
Funeral Home. Burial was held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Bro. Ted
Cabra officiated. Services were under the direction of Warren
Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mrs. Schmitz died Thursday, July 21, at Sabine Medical Center in
Many. She was 79 years old.

  She is survived by three step sons, Roy Teekell, and Arlis
Teekell, both of San Mateo, Calif., and Roger Teekell of
Blacksburg, Va.; two sisters, Becky Vogel, and Pauline Nelms,
both of Hornbeck; one brother, Arthur Byrd of Florien; and a host
of nieces and nephews.
