Schwartz, 69, of Robeline, were held on Monday, May 21, in the St. Ann Catholic Church near Robeline, with the Rev. Tom Jezak, and Deacon Joe Peltier officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery, under the direction of the Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Mr. Schwartz died in the VA Medical Center in Shreveport, on Saturday, May 19, at 12:25 p.m. A native of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Mr. Schwartz was a World War II veteran, a member of the American Legion Gordon Peters Post 10, and Veterans of Foreign Wars J. C., Keyser Post 11962. He was also a member of the St. Ann Catholic Church, and the Los Adeas Foundation. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Shirley Schwartz of Robeline; a son, Harry Schwartz Jr. of Many; two brothers, Kenneth Schwartz, and Milton Schwartz, both of Green Bay, Wisc.; and one grandchild. Pallbearers were Bill Elliott, Sixth District VFW Commander, Bob Treese, Commander VFW Post 4858, Many, Fred Bricker, Senior Vice Commander, Sixth District, Williard Ogle, Area B Commander, American Legion, Adam Delrie, Junior Vice Commander, VFW Post 1962, and Jim Reichel, Commander, American Legion Post 10. Honorary pallbearer were VFW and American Legion officers, Dick Lombard, Hubert Huggins, Charles Smith, Walt Merrill, Elmer O'Con, Gerald Wenner, and Sam Cole. Conducting military graveside services were Bugler, Toby Brazzel; Color Team, John Spier, Lonnie Beal, E. J. Moran, and Major Stephanie Hargrove; First party was composed of Charles Huggins, James Geter, Phillip Thompson, James Gay, Bob Wangenstein, Simone Sarpy, Z. T. Perot, and John Trissler.
