Agnes Robinson Schroeder, a lifelong resident of Many, passed away Friday, July 27, in Garden Park Nursing Home in Shreveport, after a short illness, Mrs. Schroeder, the former Mazy Agnes Robinson, was born January 13, 1908, the tenth of eleven children born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Dan Robinson, who, from 1907 until their deaths, were residents of Many, after moving from Kisatchie. She received her education at Saint John's Catholic School in Many, and was employed by several different businesses in Many. She married Norbert F. Schroeder on December 26, 1942, and they had two children, (Mr. Schroeder preceded her in death on January 27, 1975). She was a devout member of Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in Many, where she expressed her love of music, by singing the Lord's praises with her church's choir, and by playing the piano and organ there for many years. A Scripture Service was conducted by Father Kenneth Williams, pastor of Saint John's Catholic Church, Sunday, July 29, at 7 p.m., in Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel. Some of the music was beautifully presented, by some dear friends, Mrs. Gwen Cook and family. Mrs. Schroeder's funeral mass was Monday, July 30, at 10:30 a.m., in Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in Many, and burial followed in Saint John's Cemetery, adjacent to the church. The Funeral Mass was concelebrated by Reverend Kenneth Williams, Reverend Monsignor Norman Buvens, a lifelong family friend and pastor of Saint Ann's Catholic Church in Ebarb, and Reverend Monsignor Harry O. Barker, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shreveport. The music was beautifully provided by former fellow Saint John's Choir members, and members of the choir at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shreveport, where Mrs. Schroeder's daughter is the parish secretary. Mrs. Schroeder is survived by two loving children; a daughter and her husband, Agnes Ann S. and John R. Mussey of Shreveport; and a son, Norbert Timothy (Tim) Schroeder of Many; two devoted grandchildren, Joanna Gayle Mussey, and Jonathan Christopher Mussey, both of Shreveport; a dear sister, Mrs. Leattie R. Davis of Many; one brother-in-law, Bill Ashley of Many; a sister-in-law, Willie Mae Robinson of Many; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She is preceded in death by three sisters, Mrs. Perlie R. Springer, Mrs. Mary R. Winbery, and Mrs. Beatrice R. Ashley; and six brothers, Will Robinson, Coda Robinson, Rolla Robinson, Simon Robinson, Roy Robinson, and Paul Robinson; by her parents, Daniel Andrew and Melissa Coledonia Robinson; and by her husband, Norbert F Schroeder. Mrs. Schroeder's pallbearers were Stephen Robinson, Wendell Cook, Stanley Cook, Ricky DeLatin, Johnny Mowad, Ricky Lewing, Bob Robinson, and Jack Lafitte. All funeral services were under the beautiful direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home in Many.
