The Sabine Index - Walter W. Scott 
  
  15 Dec 1939 - Walter W. Scott of Houston, Texas, expired in a 
Houton sanitarium last Thursday. 
  
  Mr. Scott was a valued employee of the Humble Oil & refining 
company at the time of his death, having been connected with that 
concern for several years. 
  
  Mr. Scott made his home in Sabine parish at one time several 
years ago, being associated with W. C. Hartel, who drilled 
several wells in the Negreet area. 
  
  Deceased is survived by his widow, the former Miss Mary 
Vandegaer, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Leo Vandegaer of 
this city, and the following children: Walter, Jr., Bettie Claire 
and Bill.
