Scott, 70, of Mansfield, were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 12, at Drewett Memorial Chapel in Mansfield. Officiating was the Rev. R. C. Miller. He was assisted by Rev. Alfred Mitchell. Burial was in the Springridge Cemetery near Pleasant Hill. He died at 1:45 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 11, in the Highland Hospital in Shreveport, after a lengthy illness. Mr. Scott was a native of Ray Springs, MS, and a resident of Mansfield for 35 years. He was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church of Mansfield. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Opal Scott of Mansfield; five daughters, Mrs. Delores S. Howell of Blanchard, Mrs. Janice S. Norris of Shreveport, and Mrs. Carolyn Fern Winkler, Mrs. Linda S. Lilley, Mrs. Connie S. Craig, all of Mansfield; three brothers, Homer Wesley Scott, and Andrew C. Scott, both of Mansfield, and Herman Royce Scott of El Paso, Tex.; one sister, Mrs. Viola Hinson of Pleasant Hill; 12 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
