Bertrum J. Sweet

  Funeral services for Mr. Bertrum J. Sweet, 90, of Many, were
held Saturday, April 14, at New Jerusalem Baptist Church.
Interment followed at the New Jerusalem Cemetery, under the
direction of Thomas Mortuary. Rev. D. C. Coney officiated.

  Mr. Sweet passed away April 8, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home
#1.

  Deacon Burt J. Sweet was joined in marriage to Bessie Allen in
April of 1920. To this union, 10 children were born. Three
preceded him in death.

  He leaves to mourn, a loving, devoted wife, Bessie Sweet; 4 sons
and 3 daughters, and 3 brothers, U. J. Sweet and Berlion Sweet
both of Many, Rudolph Sweet of Cleveland, Ohio, Baby Ray Sweet of
San Francisco, California, Eula V. Thrower of Many, Willie Mae
White of San Francisco, California, and Alice Lilly of Cleveland,
Ohio; Brother K. D. Sweet, Matthews Sweet, and Rev. Joseph Sweet,
all of Dallas, Texas; 28 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; 5
great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews,
cousins, and friends.
