Scott, 91, of Alexandria, were held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, at Horseshoe Drive Baptist Church. Dr. Joe Kite, and Rev. Waynon Mott officiated. Burial was in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria. Mrs. Scott passed away at 4:20 p.m., Friday, December 16, 1994, in Lexington House Nursing Home. She was native of Northport, Tuscaloosa County, Ala., a member of Horseshoe Drive Baptist Church, a member of Louisiana Women's Missionary Union in Sabine and Beauregard, former president of Sabine and Beauregard Women's Missionary Union, and a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Mrs. Scott's father, Rev. John D. Scott Sr., was the pastor of various churches in Sabine Parish. Survivors include two sons, John D. Scott Jr. of Mooringsport, and Harvey E. Scott of Morgan City; one sister, Jenny Bell Ryan of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; eight grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.
