John C. (J.C.) Sweet

  Funeral services for Mr. John C. Sweet, 67, of Zwolle, were held
at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 27, 1996, in St. John Baptist Church in
Zwolle. The Rev. Harrison Fields Sr. officiated. Burial followed
in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, under the direction of
Jenkins Funeral Home.

  Mr. Sweet died at Sabine Medical Center, Saturday, Jan. 20.

  Preceding him in death were his wife, Marie Hughes Sweet; and
one brother, Lester E. (L.E.) Sweet.

  Mr. Sweet is survived by two daughters, Janice Marie Warner, and
Doris Faye Williams (husband Leroy), both of Zwolle; three
sisters, Mayola Sterling of Zwolle, Mary E. Bush of Arlington,
Texas, Dorothy Calhoun of Grand Prairie, Texas; and one brother,
Clinton Sweet of Fairfield, Calif. He is also survived by seven
grandchildren; four great grandchildren; four brothers-in-law;
four sisters-in-law; three aunts; two uncles; and a host of
nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
