Sarah Sweet

  Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Sweet of Many, were held at 11
a.m., Monday, Jan. 15, 1996, at the St. Peter Baptist Church in
Fisher.

  The Rev. Lawrence Williams officiated. Burial was in the New
Jerusalem Cemetery, under the direction of Thomas Mortuary.

  Mrs. Sweet died at Sabine Medical Center, Wednesday, Jan. 10.

  Preceding her in death, were two sisters, Erann Sweet, and Ora
Lee Kennedy; and one brother, James Sweet.

  She leaves to cherish her memory, six children, George Hale
(wife Jennie), Clora Sweet, Thomas Sweet, and Beatrice Sweet of
Houston, Diane Johnson (husband Alfred) of Ypsilanti, Mich.,
Jacqueline McGaskey (husband Gregory) of LaMarque, Texas. She is
also survived by nine grandchildren, Curry Hale, Chapanez Hale,
Cornelius Sweet, Marcus Sweet, LaWanda Johnson, Alfred Johnson
Jr., Shannon McGaskey, Shondrolette McGaskey, and Ashley Sweet;
three great grandchildren, Chaniqua, Jantzen, and Kiara; and a
host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
