Evelyn Garrett Scott

  Funeral services for Evelyn Garrett Scott, 71, of Many, were
held Saturday, Dec. 7, 1996, at 1 p.m., at New Jerusalem Baptist
Church. Officiating was Rev. Clois Rodgers. Interment was at New
Jerusalem Cemetery, under the direction of Thomas Mortuary.

  Mrs. Scott died Saturday, Nov. 30, at Schumpert Medical Center
in Shreveport.

  She married Johnny Lee Scott Oct 22, 1942.

  Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by three of her 12 children.

  She is survived by four sisters, Carolee Jackson, Sarah Spikes,
Edith Blunt of Oakdale, La., Brenda Perry of Pomona, Calif.

  She is also survived by four boys, John, Isaac, Daniel, and
Michael Scott, all of Many; five sisters, Bobby Dean Scott of
Oklahoma City, Okla., Gloria, and Debra Scott of Los Angeles,
Calif., Dale Scott of Fisher, Gail Palmer of Inglewood, Calif.,
and Yolanda Hayness of Many; 17 grandchildren, Bonita Anderson,
Dexter Scott, Bobbie Taylor, Tanya Scott, Tynell Scott, Keithy
Palmer, Rickey Palmer, LeTera Palmer, Alicia Palmer, Lawawn
Haynes, LaKillyn Scott, LaTorri Scott, Dexter Scott II, Dezma
Scott, Kiara Scott, LaEvelyn Scott, and Michael Alexandra; nine
great grandchildren; a host of relatives and friends.
