Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, June 16, at Starr Funeral Home Chapel in Hemphill, with Bro. Bob Arthur officiating. Cremation interment services will be held at a later date, at Fairview Cemetery in Fairview, Ill. Mr. Scott was a native of Farmington, Ill., and had lived in Sabine County, Tex. for three and a half years. He was retired from the traffic control department for the Chrysler Corporation. Survivors include his widow, Dixie Scott of Hemphill; three sons, Paul Tyler of Emerald Beach, Calif., Chris Tyler of Minneapolis, Minn., and Todd Scott of Desota, Wis.; five daughters, Donetta Branet of Poplar Grove, Ill., Debbie Bowton of Many, Earla Swayne of Peoria, Ill., Dawn Abbot of Desota, Wis., and Angela Strasser of Stoddard, Wis.; three brothers, Keith Scott of Olympia, Wash., Garry Scott of Fairview, and Jerry Scott of Galva, Ill.; 22 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
