Mrs. Effie Mae Scott

  Mrs. Effie Mae Scott, 72, of Zwolle, died Wednesday, July 22, at
Willis Knighton Medical Center North in Shreveport.

  Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 25, at New
Jerusalem Baptist Church, with interment following at the New
Jerusalem Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Donnie Edmonson
officiated.

  Survivors include one son, James Sweet and wife Gwen of
DeRidder; two daughters, Evelyn Woods and husband Wess of Daly
City, Calif., and Alyce Garner of Many; one brother, Willie Bush
of Many; three sisters, Gennie Garner of Many, Dorothy Haynes and
husband, Welton of Dallas, Texas, and Archie Dorsey of Galveston,
Texas; one brother-in-law, Oscar Maxie Sr. of Many; 10
grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one great-great
grandchild; and a special friend, Lloyd Garner; and a host of
nieces, nephews, and friends. Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by
three of her sisters.
