She was born Nov. 22, 1916, in Camp, Ark. She was raised in Salem, Ark, and has been a resident of Zwolle since 1941. Mrs. Scott has been a long time active member of the Jehovah Witnesses at Kingdom Hall of Many. Prior to the Jehovah Witness, she was active in the LTL (Louisiana Temperance), a den mother for the Cub Scouts, and officer in the home demonstration club, and a 30 year member of the Zwolle Methodist Church. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Dec. 9, at Kingdom Hall of Many, with interment following at Zwolle Cemetery. Elder James Self officiated. Survivors include her husband, Samuel Joseph Scott Jr. of Zwolle; son, Robert Edward and wife Connie Scott of Many; grandchildren, Mark Heard of Many, Karla Oglesby of Phoenix, Ariz., Jennifer Skidmore of Many, Jason Heard of Many, John Heard of Many, Amy Jones of Shreveport, Gregg Scott of Shreveport, Deanna Chaddick of Natchitoches, Leslie Branam of Negreet, and Brittney Scott of Many; great grandchildren, Haley Heard, and Ross Skidmore, both of Many, Jacob, and Sarah Heard of Fort Jesup, Avery Heard of Many, Laura, and Landon Jones of Shreveport, Devin Valerie, and Alton Chaddick of Natchitoches, Jessie Alana, and Hannah Branam of Negreet; one niece, Karen LaMore Paterson; and many friends. Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her father, Hudson Ester LaMore; and her mother, Nola Bernice LaMore; one brother, Frank LaMore; and one daughter, Katheryn Heard.
