James A. Stabler

  Funeral services for James A. Stabler, age 70, who died March
25, were conducted at Lewing Chapel at 2 p.m., March 27, with
Rev. C. W. Adams officiating. Interment was in Shady Grove
Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Funeral Home.

  Pallbearers were Marshall Cox, Hillard Simpkins, Jim Brar, Tom
Langton, Edgar Savell, and Floyd Stroud.

  Survivors are his wife, Mrs. James A. Stabler of Many; one son,
James R. Stabler of Many; daughters, Mrs. Edward Speight of
Negreet, Mrs. C. W. Speight of Shreveport, Mrs. Clayton Dowden,
and Mrs. Kenneth Anderson, both of Many; sisters, Mrs. Lottie
Shanks of Pearl, Ill., Mrs. Nora Russell of Jerseyville, Ill.;
fourteen grandchildren.
