Rufus Stephens

  Rufus Stephens, 94, of Florien, died in a Many Hospital March 25,
after an extended illness.

  Funeral services were held in the St. John Catholic Church Monday,
March 27, at 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. Msgr. T. J. Lennon officiating.
Burial was in the St. John Cemetery, under the direction of Warren
Meadows Funeral Home.

  Rosary was said at 7:30 p.m., Sunday night, in the Warren Meadows
Chapel.

  Surviving relatives include a son, R. I. Stephens of Woodville, Tex.;
four daughters, Mrs. Alice Gentry of Florien, Mrs. Pearl Sampson of
DeRidder, Mrs. Eula Self of Zwolle, and Mrs. Lois Hardy of Lakeview,
Ark.; one brother, Alex Stephens of Natchitoches; 11 grandchildren;
32 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
