The Sabine Index - William J. Stevenson

  6 Feb 1942 - Last rites for William J. Stevenson, age 82 years,
were held Tuesday at 10 o'clock at Fisher with Rev. J. P.
Fortenberry officiating. Interment Fisher cemetery, Dennis-Green
funeral home directing. Surviving, one son, Charles, bookkeeper
for the Louisiana Long Leaf Lumber company at Fisher.

  Mr. Stevenson was accidently killed by a K.C.S. railway train
about 2:30 Monday. It is though that he stopped to rest on the
tracks and dozed off to sleep and failed to awaken. Mr. Stevenson
was well known around Fisher, where he was seen daily with his
dog.
