Mr. Glynn Oland "Steve" Stevens

  Mr. Glynn Oland "Steve" Stevens, 64, died Sept. 9, at his
residence in Freeport, Texas.

  He was employed by Dow Chemical Company for over 35 years, and
was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Freeport, Texas.

  Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Sept. 13, at Mangum
Funeral Home Chapel, with interment following at Old Union
Cemetery. The Rev. Terry Backes officiated.

  Survivors include his widow of 42 years, Virginia Parrish
Stevens of Freeport, Texas; two daughters, Vicky Stevens Walker
and husband John of Baytown, Texas, and Mitzi Stevens Anderson
and husband Ricky of San Marco, Texas; seven grandchildren;
sister, Mae Stevens Brittain of Many; stepmother, Katie Stevens
of San Augustine, Texas; stepbrother, Ronald Poindexter of
Sulphur; and a number of other relatives and friends. Mr. Stevens
was preceded in death by his parents, James and Cecil Stevens.
