All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Julian Curtis Stoker Mr. Julian Curtis Stoker, 74, passed away Feb. 24, at Salemhaven Home in Salem, New Hampshire. Mr. Stoker was employed as a purchasing agent for Pacific Mills in Lawrence, Mass., for many years, and also with Raytheon Corp. for a number of years in Andover, Mass., until he retired. He was born and raised in Louisiana, and lived for 40 years in Methven, Mass. He was educated in the Louisiana schools, and graduated from Louisiana State Normal College, now Northwestern State University, in 1936. Mr. Stoker had served in the Marine Corp. just prior to World War II. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Methven, Mass., and was very active in his church. Members of his family are his wife, Faustina M. Stoker; two sons, Robert Curtis Stoker, and David Ross Stoker; one daughter, Phyllis Iris Laudana, all of Methven, Mass.; two brothers, Henry Craft Stoker, and Lannie Joseph Stoker, both of Seattle, Washington; two sisters, Mrs. Lucille Faucher of Methven, Mass., and Mrs. Jack Winn of Many, La.; six grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Stoker was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ross Stoker, who lived in the Friendship Community near Robeline. Funeral services were held in Dewhirst Funeral Home in Methven, Mass., on Monday, Feb. 27, 1989. He was buried in the church cemetery in Methven, Mass.
