Stoker of Baton Rouge, La., died Monday, Jan. 16, 1995, at the Baton Rouge General Medical Center. She was a native of Campti, and a resident of Baton Rouge. She was a La. Public School teacher, with forty years of service, and retired as Walnut Hills Elementary School Librarian in East Baton Rouge. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home was from 6-9 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 17, and on Wednesday, Jan. 18, from 9 a.m., until religious services at the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m., Wednesday. Officiating the service was Rev. Tom Denton. Visiting at Warren Meadows Funeral Home, Many, La., from 7-9 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 18. Graveside services are at 10 a.m., Thursday, at Fort Jesup Cemetery, Many. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, R. J. Stoker of Baton Rouge, La.; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca S., and James C. Kyle of Lake Jackson, Tex.; sister, Gladys W. Farr of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two brothers, Harold Williams of San Antonio, Tex., and Lehman Williams of Bossier City, La.; two grandchildren, Amy Lynn, and Noel C. Kyle, both of Lake Jackson, Tex., and numerous nieces, nephews; and a host of friends. Mrs. Stoker was a member of Laurel Lea Baptist Church, Baton Rouge, Eastern Star, and Delta Kappa Gamma Society. She received her undergraduate degree from Northwestern State University, and her masters degree from Stephen F. Austin University.
