Mrs. Bertie Stoker

  Mrs. Bertie Stoker, 88, of Robeline, died at her residence June
6, 1995, in Robeline.

  Funeral services were conducted at Ft. Jesup Baptist Church at
10 a.m., Friday, June 9. The Rev. Wayne Hicks, and the Rev. Huey
Hammond officiated.

  Interment was held at Fort Jesup Cemetery, under the direction
of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.

  Mrs. Stoker was born February 24, 1907, to Nugent Alafair and
Columbus Waits.

  Survivors include one stepson, Julian H. Stoker of Dallas,
Texas; one brother, Reynold Waits of West Lake; one special
grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Patrick and Loretta Packwood.
Several grandchildren, and great grandchildren; and a host of
nieces and nephews.

  Mrs. Stoker was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Stoker.
