All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Doris Carruth Stoker Funeral services for Doris Carruth Stoker, 76, of Natchitoches, were held at 1 p.m., on Thursday, Jan. 4, 1995, at the Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. James Carter, and Dr. Scott Shaver officiated. Burial was in the Fern Park Cemetery. Mrs. Stoker died at 9:55 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 2, at Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport. Mrs. Stoker was a resident of Natchitoches, and a native of McComb, Miss. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Natchitoches. She was a retired educator for the Natchitoches Parish School Board, the Director of the Baptist Student Union at Northwestern State University from 1944-1951, and she was a member of various education associations. Survivors include her husband, Mr. Edwin E. Stoker (wife Mimi) of Natchitoches; one daughter, Sharon Ebarb (husband Bill) of Natchitoches; one sister, Mrs. Grace Lewis of Liberty, Miss.; four grandchildren, Brian Ebarb, Daniel Ebarb, Kristopher Farrar, and Nicole Suggs; and one great grandchild, Colt Suggs.
