Edwin E. Stoker

  Funeral services for Edwin E. Stoker, 76, of Natchitoches, were
held Monday, Dec. 9, 1996, at 2 p.m., at the Chapel of
Blanchard-St. Denis. Officiating was Dr. Scott Shaver, and Dr.
James Carter. Interment was at Fern Park Cemetery in
Natchitoches, under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral
Home.

  Mr. Stoker died Friday, Dec. 6, at his residence. He was a
native of DeRidder, a former member of Natchitoches Rotary Club
from 1954 to 1983, former member of La. Police Jury Association,
as Secretary-Treasurer, former member of the National Association
of County Administrators, former member of National Association
of County Treasurer, and Finance Officers, former member of
United Commercial Travelers of America, former member of the
Police Jury Association of La., former member of the National
Association of County Officials, and he retired as the
Secretary-Treasurer from the Natchitoches Parish Police Jury.

  He is survived by one son, Chuck Stoker of Natchitoches; one
daughter, Sharon Ebarb of Natchitoches; four grandchildren; and
one great grandchild.
