William A. Steele

  William Alfred Steel, 65, died Sunday, Feb. 6.

  He was a merchant.

  Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, in the Drewett
Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jim Constable officiating. Burial was in
the Oxford Cemetery.

  Survivors include his widow; a native of Pleasant Hill; two sons,
William A. Steele Jr. of Tiawan, and Jerry B. Steele of Plattsburg,
N. Y.; one daughter, Mrs. Diana Gregory of Lake Charles; nine
grandchildren; one brother, Thomas Steele of Eudora, Ark.; three
sisters, Mrs. Faye Townsend, and Mrs. Joe Smith, both of Shreveport,
Mrs. Kathryn Ritter of Many.
