All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Charles Edward Settle, Jr. Services for Mr. Charles Edward Settle, Jr., 67, of Natchitoches, were held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, May 29, at the Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home Chapel in Natchitoches. The Rev. Carl Hudson officiated. Burial was in Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches. Mr. Settle, a retired farmer and cattleman, died Tuesday morning, May 27, 1986, at his residence, after a brief illness. He was operator and owner of Settle's Boat Landing, and was a veteran of World war II. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Natchitoches. He is survived by two sons, Eddie Settle, and John Settle of Natchitoches; one daughter, Ginger S. Swanson of Shreveport, La.; two brothers, A. A. Settle of Marthaville, and Harold P. Settle of Roanoke, Va.; and six grandchildren. Pallbearers were Alvis Bostick, Lester Gimbert, Eldred Parish, Arden Settle, Jr., Dale Settle, and Paul Walmsley.
