John W. Stark

  John Wesley Stark, 88, of Newton, Tex., died Friday, Feb. 14, in
a Newton hospital, after a long illness.

  Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, in the
Beauregard Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Melvin Smith
officiating. Assisted by the Rev. Malcolm Jean. Burial was in the
Plunkaway Cemetery.

  Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Bobbie Stanley, and Mrs.
Jimmie Toney, both of Leesville, Mrs. Willie Fancher of
Burkeville, Tex., and Mrs. Delmarie Ritter of Leesville, Mrs.
Billie Sue Jordan of Burkeville; four sons, Wesley Obie Stark of
Kirbyville, Wayne Stark of Hornbeck, Louis Stark of Craig, Colo.,
and Robert Stark of Florien; three stepchildren, Doris Ebarb of
Zwolle, Gertie Lee, and Bryant Lee, both of Fort Worth; one
sister, Mrs. Dyce Meadows of DeRidder; 29 grandchildren, 21 great
grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
