All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** The Sabine Index - Mrs. Rosa Hayes Strickland 6 Jan 1950 - Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Wellman's funeral chapel, Shreveport, for Mrs. Rosa Hayes Strickland, 48, route two, Shreveport, who died at 10:05 p.m. Friday in a local hospital following a brief illness. Elder John H. Irion conducted the services. Burial was in Centuries Park Memorial cemetery. Mrs. Strickland, a native of Sabine parish and a resident of Shreveport for five years, is survived by her husband, Elmer M. Strickland; two sisters, Mrs. J. R. Miller of Kilgore, Texas, and Mrs. Paul Robinson of Many; five brothers, Sid Hayes and M. T., Doss Hayes, I. D. Hayes of Beaumont, Texas, and R. B. Hayes of Birmingham, Ala. Active pallbearers were Paul Robinson, Jimmie Miller, Eddie Strickland, Clovie and Rayborn Strickland and Herbert Williams
