Lewey W. Strickland

  Mr. Lewey W. Strickland of Florien, died Thursday, February 23,
1984, at the age of 80. He passed away at 3:20 p.m., in the
Sabine Medical Center in Many.

  Services for Mr. Strickland were held in the Oak Grove Baptist
Church of Hornbeck, Saturday, Feb. 25, 1984, at 3 p.m.
Officiating were Bro. Don Davis, Bro. Dean Crittenden, and Bro.
Huey Harman. Burial followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Services
were under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home in
Many.

  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jewel Strickland of Florien;
two sons, Bennie Ray Strickland, and Jerry Lynn Strickland, both
of Shreveport; one daughter, Maxine Mothershed, Florien; two
sisters, Ollie Ricks Merritt, Gibsland, La., and Barbara Caswell,
Anacoco; one brother, Andrew Weldon, Florien; 14 grandchildren;
and 20 great grandchildren.
