George Frank Strickland, Sr.

  Mr. George Frank Strickland Sr., 74, died at Sabine Medical
Center on March 16, 1989.

  Services were held at Many Church of Christ on Saturday, March
18, at 10 a.m., with the Reverends James Tidwell, Ben Larry
Isgitt, and Wesley Jackson officiating. Burial was at Zwolle
Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Survivors include his wife, Alma E. Strickland of Zwolle; two
sons, George F. Strickland Jr. of Many, Glynn D. Strickland of
Oklahoma City, Okla.; one brother, Huey Lee Strickland of
Lexington, N. C.; five sisters, Hattie Hardwick, Estelle Seals,
Carol Reeks, and Irma Adams, all of Shreveport, and Nellie Fay
O'Conn of Robeline; six grandchildren; and two great
grandchildren.

  Pallbearers included Richard Isgitt, Dennis Bishop, Marvin
Powell, Jimmy Isgitt, Tommy O'Conn, Joe Seals. Honorary
pallbearers included Bill Powell, B. C. Isgitt, Quinton Brandon,
Morris Brandon, Talmadge Bozeman, and Dr. Oey.
