Michael Ray Strickland

  Funeral services for Michael Ray Strickland, 50, were held
Tuesday, June 9, 1996, at Antioch Baptist Church, at 10 a.m.,
with Rev. Jimmy Evans, Rev. Doug Chance, Rev. Gary Allen, Rev.
Donnie Paul Lewing, and Rev. Egar Evans officiating.

  Mr. Strickland passed away Saturday, July 6, at his residence.

  He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Strickland; and
one brother, Donald Strickland.

  He is survived by his wife, Rose Strickland of Florien; three
sons, Barry Strickland of Florien, Steve Strickland of Selma, N.
C., Lee Strickland, also of Florien; one daughter, Kimberly
Strickland of Florien; mother, Hazel Strickland of Many; two
sisters, Darlene Bennett of Many, and Helen Hood of Abilene,
Tex.; three brothers, Doyle Strickland of Denver, Colo., Delmer
Strickland of Shreveport, and Andy Strickland of Denham Springs,
Tex.; one grandson, Cody Strickland of Florien; a host of nieces
and nephews; and close friend, Johnny Mowad.

  Flower donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's
Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105-1905.

  Pallbearers were Mark Strickland, Doug Strickland, David Brown,
Stephen Brown, Clintt Corley, Caroll Corley, Barry Bennett, and
Johnny Mowad.

  Honorary pallbearers were Daniel Bennett, Ed Corley, Ernie
Constable, Leon Jordan, Jimmy Hood, Bill Strickland, Vince
Williams, Ray Davis, Reagan Anthony, A. J. Allen, Joe Lee
Chreene, David Hood, Dale Strickland, Mark Hildebrand, and Reo
Wright.
