Strickland William James Strickland, 44, died Saturday, January 8, after a short illness. Services were held Monday, Jan. 10, in the Warren Chapel, with the Rev. H. H. Tibbitts officiating. Interment was in the Warren Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Lula Strickland of Robeline; two sons, William Edwin Strickland of the U.S. Air Force, and James Jr. Strickland of Robeline; four daughters, Katherine Ann, Theresa Jan, Dorinda Lou, and Patricia Rae, all of Robeline; father, L. W. Strickland of Florien; five brothers, Bennie Ray Strickland of Shreveport, Jerry Lynn Strickland of Minden, Eugene Woodle of Shreveport, Lawson Brown of Shreveport, and Glen Brown of Many; three sisters, Maxine Mothershed of Shreveport, Mrs. Douglas Miller of Fisher, Mrs. Charlene Fletcher of Texas. Pallbearers were W. G. Byles, Lloyd Oxley, Johnny Prothro, Jim Byles, Joe Byles, and Lawrence Bertund.
