Mrs. Stewart's surviving relatives include her husband, A. G. Stewart of Florien; two daughters, Mrs. Nelwyn Sims of Lake Charles, and Mrs. Betty Jo Hale of Sulpher; two brothers, Willie Scroggins of Florien, and Mrs. Vernon Scroggins of Hornbeck; six sisters, Mrs. Wanda Walker of Florien, Mrs. L. W. Dubois, Mrs. Edna Crow, and Mrs. Nellie Crowley, all of Shreveport, Mrs. Lucy Cassidy of New Orleans, Mrs. W. C. Semons of Leesville, and four grandchildren. The body was taken to Mt. Carmel Church at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, and lay in state until services started at 3 p.m. The Rev. Robert L. Coburn, and the Rev. J. C. Edwards officiated. Burial was in Mt. Carmel Cemetery under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.
