Mrs. Bertha Salter Stroud

  Mrs. Bertha Salter Stroud, 86, of Westlake died Saturday, April 11,
1998 at her residence.

  Mrs. Stroud was a homemaker and a former resident of Many.

  Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 13 at Beulah
Baptist Church with interment following at Beulah Cemetery. The Rev.
Delmond Rogers officiated and the Rev. Elcie Walker assisted.

  Survivors included her husband of 67 years, Mr. Howard C. Stroud of
Westlake; one son, Howard Stroud, Jr. of Lake Charles; one daughter,
Jo Nell Miller and husband, Billy of Moss Bluff; two grandchildren;
four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchildren; and numerous
nieces and nephews. Mrs. Stroud was preceded in death by 10 brothers
and sisters.
