Stewart Benny Clovis Stewart, 55, of Blanchard, died Saturday, at North Caddo Memorial Hospital in Vivian, after a sudden illness. A native of Florien, he had lived in Blanchard 25 years, and was a tool room supervisor for Beaird-Poulan Co. Mr. Stewart was a member of the Blanchard Nazarene Church. The funeral was at 2 p.m., Sunday, at Blanchard Nazarene Church, with the Rev. Lawrence Cocherell, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Blaanchard Cemetery, under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home's Marshall Street Cahpel. Mr. Stewart is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mellie Stewart; a son, Ronnie Stewart of Dallas, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. Carol Webb of Shreveport, and Mrs. Joan McFerren of Blanchard; three sisters, Mrs. R. L. Durr of Columbus, Ohio, Mrs. Laura McFerren of Robeline, and Mrs. Elmer Reece of Shreveport; six brothers, E. C. Stewart of Jal, N. M., R. L. Stewart of Mandeville, Thomas M. Stewart of Denham Springs, J. B. Stewart of Gulfport, Miss., Travis Stewart of Covington, and Prentis Stewart of Fort Bragg, N. C.; and six grandchildren.
