Rev. Claude Stewart

  The Rev. Claude Stewart, 77, of Florien, died on Wednesday, Dec.
31, at 11:03 a.m., following an extended illness.

  Funeral services were held on Friday, January 2, at 2 p.m., at
Many Church of the Nazarene, with the Rev. Ralph West, the Rev.
William Crouch, the Rev. Virgil Taylor, the Rev. A. W. Hoffpauir,
and the Rev. Clarence Patton officiating.

  Burial was in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, under the direction of
Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nettie Stewart of Florien; 2
brothers, Clarence and Cleveland Stewart, both of Florien; and a
host of nieces and nephews.

  Pallbearers were Evon Thaxton, Raydon Thaxton, the Rev. Louis
Skinner, Clovis Stewart, Younger Stewart, Ellis Pentecost, Lee
Raymond Stewart, and Horace Stewart.
