The Sabine Index - John Peter Stroud

  22 Sep 1961 - Last rites for John Peter Stroud, age 73, who died
Sept. 17 were conducted at Beulah Baptist church at 3 p.m. Sept.
18, with Rev. J. P. Fortenberry, Rev. Coda Salter and Rev. Delman
Rogers officiating. Interment was in Church Cemetery under the
direction of Warren Funeral Home.

  Pallbearers were: Roy Stroud, Truman Anthony, Gorge Salter, Hoyt
Neel, Henry Wedgeworth and Wilburn Wright.

  Survivors are his wife, Mrs. J. P. Stroud of Many, sons, Howard
and James Stroud both of Many, Percy Stroud of Montana,
daughters, Mrs. Vernon Masters of Florien, and Mrs. Eddie Gandy
and Mrs. Arthur Hossler both of Many, Mrs. Norris Autrey of
Yoakum, Texas, Mrs. Wayne Cook of Halletsville, Texas, fifteen
grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
